Four Seasons and a convenient location make for a wide variety of activities during your cabin retreat!

Skiing and snowboarding:
Winter means skiing and snowboarding here. The cabin is minutes away from Mountain High Ski Resort. Enjoy a 7000 ft. base elevation, with 1000 ft. of vertical drop. Plenty of trails for all skill levels, and the ski season lasts from November to April! That means fun on the mountain, and nice temperatures in town.

Hiking, biking, and picnics:
Spring and Summer bring plenty of opportunity for superb hiking, camping, and picnics. The A-Frame is just minutes away from the Pacific Crest Trail, which runs from Mexico all the way to Canada. A short drive on the 2 highway will have you gasping at the views of Inspiration Point. Start there for some leisurely trails, or drive just a few minutes more to the base of Mt. Baden-Powell for a four hour round trip ascent to nearly 10,000 feet. The summit there is not to be missed! All along the way, the highway is dotted with great national park picnic areas. Just drive a few minutes from the cabin and start your exploration.

Waterplay and fishing: If you want to do some swimming or maybe catch your supper, spend the day just a few minutes drive from the cabin at Jackson Lake. There are lots of picnic spots and grassy lawns to lounge around on. Cool of with a dip, or dip in your fishing pole and try your luck in a fishing spot stocked with trout.
For the sporty people, follow the 138 highway east for a scenic drive to Silverwood Lake Recreational Area. This is a huge lake where you can waterski, drive a jetski, or just sit back and take in the atmosphere.

Shopping and dining:
The town of Wrightwood, just a ten minute walk from the cabin, is a great place to shop for local crafts, have a cup of coffee, or a delicious meal. In the winter when the snow in covering the town it is like a wonderland of winter. In the Summer you can see everyone out and about enjoying a live band. We will furnish you with maps and tips, and some recommendations if you wish. Whatever it takes to make your stay here as enjoyable as possible.
